Old Fashioned Farm Festival

(Always the 3rd Sunday in September)

The above images are from our 2017 Old Fashioned Farm Festival. You will experience teams of horses, vintage cars and tractors from yesteryear, and a variety of demonstrations showing you how your ancestors used live. There is a petting zoo for the little ones and horse drawn wagon rides for the whole family. You can tour the Cobblestone Museum and the massive vintage barn.
When you get hungry or thirsty, we provide a food tent where you can purchase hotdogs, hamburgers, and soft drinks. The Lion’s Club also sells chicken barbeques which are a great end to the summer barbeque season!
The festival is held on the third Sunday of September each year (16th) from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. There is no cost to attend.

Here is a highlighted list of displays and events to visit when you come:

Refreshments at the Food Tent. Hotdogs and Hamburgers cooked to perfection! Grab an ice cream sundae for dessert.
Chicken Barbecue provided by the Barker Lions Club. It may be the last of the season.
Baked Food Sale. Our society has some of the best cooks in Western New York. Buy something to take home to enjoy later, however it may not make it there.
Antique Gas Engines will be set up and demonstration.
Civil Ware Re-enactment. Mr. John Davis will portrait a Union Soldier and will display items that every man would need to survive.
Antique Tractor Display. Each year dozens of tractors are put on display to take you back to the good old days. You might even hear that familiar sound from Grandpa’s farm so long ago.
Toy Tractor Display. This is every kid’s dream! Mr. Grant has hundreds of tractors to drool over.
50/50 Raffle. This needs no explanation.
Cow Chip Bingo. This is a unique way to play Bingo. The cows walk along and “pick” the numbers that will win.
Wood Shop. An antique lathe will also be demonstrating how it was done.
Blacksmith Shop demonstrations will be ongoing throughout the day.
Classic Cars will be the first exhibit you see as you pull into the “Free” parking lot. Dad loves this one. He can ID every one of these beauties.
A Rope Making tool will turn baling twine into a sturdy rope strong enough to hold the most powerful bulls.
Tour the Babcock House Museum. Listen to the pump organ as you observe the vintage furnishings and wall decorations.
Visit with the various artisans as they demonstrate their vintage skills.
Kids can make Corn Husk Dolls and Paint Pumpkins to take home for a memory of the day.
A Farmer’s Market with dozens of vendors will be set up to sell home grown produce. Make time to stop by.
Horse Activities will be available to enjoy. Give the kids a ride on a pony or take a relaxing horse drawn wagon ride around the premises.
A Corn Harvest will continue throughout the day. Horses will pull the corn binders and wagon while an antique tractor will run the belt driven stationary corn chopper. Bring your ear plugs for this one.
