August 18th - Historical Society Picnic

(5:00 PM @ Babcock House)

Hotdogs, Corn and Water is provided.

Please bring your own place settings and a dish to pass.

September 21st - Old Fashion Farm Festival. 

(10:00 am - 3:00 pm @ Babcock Cobblestone Museum.)

(Free parking and admission to the public.)

October 27th @ 7:00 - Speaker Jill Heck

In this brief historical presentation, you will learn about the organization of Daughters of the American Revolution. We will spend some time visiting the headquarters at Continental Hall in Washington D.C. and looking at the history of the group on a national level. This will be followed by a local focus on the various groups in New York State as well as the origins of the 100-year-old Orleans Chapter DAR and the Patriot House which is located in Albion and is still home to the monthly Chapter meetings.

December 1st @ 6:30 - Author Beth Livingston

Beth is writing a series of books about Small-Town America and has just completed Book 3 about West Somerset.  She will share with us at 6:30 at the Somerset Townhall.

 

​​December 7th - Victorian Christmas

(1:00-4:00 pm @ Babcock Cobblestone Museum)

 

If you want to experience what Christmas in the country was like in the late 1800’s, join us for horse drawn sleigh rides, (or buggy) homemade cookies and hot chocolate, and singing carols around the antique organ in the historic Babcock house. FREE and family friendly!

*The house is open on Sundays from 1:00 - 4:00 PM from June through August.
