WHAT HAPPENED TO WILLIAM MORGAN ON SEPTEMBER 12, 1826?
On that date, William Morgan, a stone worker from Batavia, NY, disappeared from his jail cell after being bailed out by Free Masons. He was never seen again, leaving behind a wife and children. What we do know is that Morgan was on the brink of releasing the information he had obtained by infiltrating the Masons Secret Society and their tactics. A perfect topic for a Halloween Murder Mystery!
December 8th - Victorian Christmas
(1:00-4:00 pm @ Babcock Cobblestone Museum)
If you want to experience what Christmas in the country was like in the late 1800’s, join us for horse drawn sleigh rides, (or buggy) homemade cookies and hot chocolate, and singing carols around the antique organ in the historic Babcock house. FREE and family friendly!
*The house is open on Sundays from 1:00 - 4:00 PM from June through August.
Slide show developed for the Somerset Bicentennial Celebration.
